Beckham has one. Abramovich has two (one for Chelsea and one for himself). Wembley boxes I mean – and I was excited to be running a training course in one recently.
They are very spacious – big enough to have 12 students seated comfortably at a large boardroom-style table, with sofas and easy chairs as well as of course exclusive use of 20 stadium seats facing the famous Wembley turf.
Thanks to all the guys at the Delaware North Catering Company for their eager participation on the three-day WSET Intermediate course and well done on their much deserved results. Head of Logistics, Rupert Haynes was kind enough to say he had learned more in the three days than in the previous twenty years.
I really enjoyed the tour of the stadium, especially standing in the players’ dressing room and seeing their shirts all laid out for them (including quite a few current and ex-Spurs players).
Standing under the England sign at the entrance of the pitch, imagining the excitement of the players and the crowd before they go on the pitch was quite a thrill.
