A visit to @borgogno1761 with the very affable Andrea Farinetti showed some very positive developments with the 2019s for me in comparison to previous years. The aromas are much clearer and brighter and the wines look much livelier with brighter fruit. I especially liked the Liste 2019 which had a strong sense of identity. Up to now I had not been a big fan of the style including the 2016 riserva which some people rate really highly, but for me these 2019s show much more promise and excitement.
