What a thrill to finally visit one of the oldest and most historically famous restaurants in the Barolo area – restaurant Buon Padre – (records of this as place to rest and get a meal go back to 1890 and wine production to 1923) with its original historic wine cellar underground and to taste a range @viberti_giovanni wines with Claudio Viberti and @francesco_no_bloody_pineapple – by the way the lunch was superb and deserves a separate post all of its own which I will do later – the food a delightful contemporary twist on local classic dishes.
